Log cabin and wraparound deck among new spring leaves

Spring at Fernwood

Spring comes softly to the Upper Delaware. The woods leaf out in fresh green, the lawn fills in, and the rivers run full.

01

Waterfalls at full flow

Snowmelt and spring rain keep the region's waterfalls at their strongest. Raymondskill Falls, the tallest waterfall in Pennsylvania, is a short drive away in the Delaware Water Gap.

02

On the river

Each spring the shad run brings anglers to the Delaware, and bald eagles nest along the river valley. Outfitters in Barryville begin opening for the season as the water warms.

03

Back at the lodge

Mornings are cool enough for coffee on the deck in a sweater. Birds nest under the porch roof. Fresh green ferns and quiet moments outdoors.
